JACKSONVILLE — City officials won't appeal a
land-use ruling that went against them regarding development of the
former South Stage Landfill property east of town. But they remain
ready to raise their concerns as the project moves forward.
On
Tuesday, the City Council discussed the ruling by Oregon's Land Use
Board of Appeals but took no action to initiate a judicial appeal. The
ruling said that Jackson County could amend a comprehensive plan zone
map for the property without having a zoning change request at the same
time. . .
We are providing important information on two ballot measures that will impact all residents of Jackson County. We encourage Jackson County residents to vote no on the land-use ballot measures 15-110 & 15-111. Click here for more information about these ballot initiatives.
